First of all, I'd like to thank my sister for the great glass painting what gave me an idea.
Used that painting as the background, added some strange colours, the figure of Black, flying fishes, sea and the Minotaur's face (which looks very odd, I'll change that a bit).
This scene is most the interesting one to me from the movie.
It is hard to show that vibrating, changing, surreal world what Black has experienced... at least I tried. : )
Tekkon Kinkreet is one of the most beautiful films I've ever experienced. Your art does great justice to it, this scene is also my favorite and I think you really captured the surrealistic feel of it.
Same here. This movie is very inspirational, it gives such a feeling after watching it. Plaid done an exellent job on the original soundtrack. I'm listening Tekkon's remix album right now... :3
I'm pleased you like our creation (my sister's glass painting gave me the idea). : )
Definitely, it's one of those movies I could watch over and over and never tire of it - I notice something new every time. The soundtrack was amazing! My roommate is actually listening to it in the other room. ^^
Glad to have found a TK group as well, I feel it's a massively underrated film. It's great to see it getting more exposure!
The comic and movie are full of emotions, they always impress me deeply. I don't understand why this story is not more popular. That's the main reason why I founded this group. There was a club as well, but sadly it's inactive now. : (
The comic is so fresh in its style of art and storytelling, and the movie is breathtaking - I felt it at least deserved more recognition at film awards festivals and the like. I know surreal films like this aren't ever really mainstream, but I lend my copy out to everyone I can, and one of the professors here makes it mandatory that people see this movie if they take his class (I haven't had him as a professor, but I have met him at animation panels).
Thank you for founding the group, so glad to see there are others who really appreciate Tekkon Kinkreet!

By the way, welcome to the group.
